DAIISTAR are one of the hottest psych prospects in the world. Hailing from Austin, Texas, their debut album was met with critical acclaim, boasting productional input from WHITE DENIM and THE BLACK ANGELS, resulting in an other-worldly selection of music ranging from serenity to chaos. Taking inspiration from neo psych of the 80s & 90s (The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, early Primal Scream), DAIISTAR pull it into the future with modulating synthesisers, heavy guitars, bouncing bass lines, and spiralling hooks - creating a narcotic blend of noise and melody. DAIISTAR recently recorded their first studio album produced by Alex Maas of The Black Angels and engineered by James Petralli of White Denim, and the band has signed to UK label Fuzz Club Records. In May DAIISTAR released a 7" Limited Pressing of their single ‘Clear’ backed by Spacemen 3 co-founder Peter Kember aka SONIC BOOM's remix of the ‘Good Time’ album track "Velvet Reality" on the B-side.
